Hello, my name is Kellieann Morris. I've lived in Ravalli County for 24 years. I have worked for the weed district 7 years. I have been involved with   many programs and projects to help the people of Ravalli County control noxious   weeds on their land. This includes everything from writing grants to driving a   spray truck. I am also the secretary and treasurer for the Western Area Weed   Council. My job has been rewarding, as I know that I help make a difference in   Ravalli County and Montana.

I spent my childhood in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado and then moved to Montana in 2010 after spending a decade in North Carolina. I have worn many “hats” of the trade, ranging from Helicopter Mechanic in the USMC, to Preschool Director. I am now submersed in information about noxious weeds and excited about sharing my new found knowledge with Ravalli County students and landowners.

Shane has lived in Ravalli County for 18 years  and in the northern Rocky Mountain region for 26 years.  In 1996 Shane  became a noxious weed fighter and a hobby farmer when he turned his spotted  knapweed infested acreage into a small tree farm.   He expanded his  weed management by starting a commercial spraying business for several years  before becoming a seasonal weed sprayer for Weed District in 2005. Now Shane has joined the Ravalli County Weed District full time with a  strong desire to assist Ravalli County and its residents with their noxious  weed management problems and actively control noxious weeds on roadsides,  county properties and special projects.   “I know there are a lot weed problems out there to chew on" he says, "but if we all just keep taking little bites we can have them licked.”
